First off, Canadian Rover and it says "never seen snow". I'm going to call b.s. right out the gate. No to mention the high price!

I have just re-read the ad out of interest. I did make a mistake it's done 160K kms not 160K miles but it's a manual box and the truck is 15 years old and they are asking £9,850 GBP (you can buy mine for that kind of dosh just write me a cheque anytime) in the UK it's worth £2-3K tops particularly with a manual box. How many owners I wonder and has it had all of the LR recalls done. A top truck should come with a full LR service history and no more than 2 owners.

I could send you a detailed description of what i would want, color, etc, and we could work out a finders fee! No rush. But I would love a low mileage, manual, 7 seater, TD5, lol.

Is the TD5 the best engine?

No offence Toad2 but I don't live in the UK now I live in France and although there are many D1's here not many D2's and you wouldn't want any truck after the French have had them. The second part being although I would be happy to help you find a decent truck IF I lived in the UK I am retired and don't work for anything now but I would do it for free as a favour to anyone. When I'm next over in Blighty I'll take a look around for a decent TD5 manual 7 seater but the earliest will be November this year. Don't encumber yourself with a V8 in the meantime as they are nothing but trouble as you can read on here. You need a V8 like you need a hole in the head.

^ Sadly that is all that is offered Stateside.

I'm so underwhelmed with my mpg ( I last wheeled a 2005 Suburban which did at the least 5 mpg better.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I'm ready to park the blamed thing til my D24t swap is done.

Default Td5 swap?

That was kinda my thought too. Anyone know how the Td5 stacks up performance wise to say a well built 4.0? Weren't the Camel Challenge Discos all gas, possibly for a reason? Are the diesels any good for arid desert or cold climates? If they get 30 Imperial gallons per, that is like 36 MPG here. Hmm. I wonder what other turbo diesels they have over there that will bolt up to a Disco drive train. I saw some V-6s that looked kinda interesting. Any Brits wanna comment on this?
