Default what is everyone idling at without ac

what is everyone idling at i dont have SAI or ACE and my ac is off.

I have been chasing down an overheating issue and today i have had enough of it to the point of grabbing my extra fan clutch and drilling through i to lock it up.

what i have found so far is i am idling at 650-670 and the truck progressively gets warmer.

if i adjust the idle to 750 it stays rock solid at 185.

i have the inline thermostat mod with a 180 degree thermostat and before my mudding incident the cooling system stayed at 185.

new water pump on the way as well, then testing for intake leaks and evap leaks as i am getting a p0440

after some more testing i noticed there are silver shards inside the coolant reservoir so now i am sure there is either a water pump issue, no water in oil and no oil in water along with no white smoke out the back and no visual leaks of coolant.

this brings me to my next fiasco, the trans cooler decided to rupture- i went from a few drops of atf (just found out it was leaking) to a a gusher after i moved the pipe some.

Did the trans cooler "rupture" or did the hose just come out? They can be tough to get in there all the way. You wouldn't be the first person on here to have one pop out. I've heard of them coming off on the Highway and making one hell of a mess from the fan blowing it everywhere.

Did you disconnect it at some point to do work?

It ruptured, I was hoping it was the line but that was not the case.
