Default what have I started

going to start this thread with "I'm a moron don't talk me out of this, **** you". I owned a disco some years ago, 02 with something like 180k miles. Loved it, hated the economy and constant upkeep.

SO WHAT IF I MADE ALL OF THE THINGS I HATED ABOUT MY DISCOVERY, WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Introducing a s**tshow of a build thread. The BMW N63 swapped Discovery 2. I dont know how far this will go. I dont know if itll work. I dont know if the engine will even fit. But if it does buckle up, because we are putting a 450hp twin turbo hot vee V8 into one of the worst examples of a discovery 2 I found. Like seriously, this thing doesnt have an interior, fenders, headlights, bumpers, a rear quarter panel, engine, transmission.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT IT COULD HAVE!?!?!?!?!? A 450hp V8! oh and it has a registerable title

anyway serious talk time. I got this Discovery for free, its entirely rust free from oklahoma of all places and shipping it here was free.99 (plus gas money) and I have a very good friend to thank for that. I've had sitting around here a wrecked BMW 550i that I bought to use the interior and body panels from. Our main plan here is to remove the powertrain, see if we can use the BMW transfer case, and adapt it into the Discovery. Being a hot vee engine the sides are pretty skinny so the discovery being fairly narrow shouldnt be an issue, theoretically. The engine in the BMW runs great and had valve stem seals done before it got wrecked.

Well, see you in a month when the engine is out of the BMW. I have to hire a lift to use being I live in an HOA home. Swap will end up being done in a friends shop, same that brought the truck home from OK.
hehehehehehehehe

“what have I started” - nothing but a babbling rant.

get your ducks in order & see if it works - then post. Endless threads of ambitious motor swaps & lengthy banter of why it will or will not work. There is a modification section for this.

Post some pics of it happening & the support will follow.
