Yeah that makes sense with all the kit, without it I'm sure it'd net over 4".

Still do love looking at your truck though!

Thanks Zack. It is a work in progress with Ashcroft axles, 4.12 lockers, the Viair dual Air system, dirty parts switches .. etc....all getting done. Thanks for your advice again on a lot of this ! My goal was to make the nicest upgraded original Restored Trek ever!

IMHO, There a 2 ways to approach lifting a D2 3inches -5 inches. Springs/shocks and separate parts or a complete kit. I chose the complete kit. It includes everything needed to do a lift the correct way with everything matched to work with each component. And most importantly to keep the geometry right and the truck drive/control right for on road and offroad use. This is not the inexpensive way but it is one of the best/ right ways to approach this. Drive shafts, watts link, panhard, control arms, steering, tires are just a few parts that need attn. Extended Brakelines are also a must. Mine started as a 3in lift that is really around 4 when all said and done. The weight of the other stuff settled the height a little bit. For most this is probably overkill, for me NOT. It has been fun but expensive for sure. You must decide how committed to this you want to be and why.
