No debris, but I did add ATF on an incline. Always do.

Gotta ask. You did check the ATF while the engine was running, right?

TriarII, Yes and thank you very much for the above diagram, no used to phone web surfing. It is the trans temp. But I still can not find issue

Yes I did check while running, but it was a pita to keep up... Even in low range

Frig is definitely not overheating

But I doubt this woul have any relevance but I did a tstat swap last night. Bled bled bled again. Same temps no change 193f

Update. Since I'm in a field in the middle of nowhere, I (based on zero evidence) decided lower the atf level. I let it push out, from fire hose pressure to a more normal stream. I have 2:45ish trip on the same strip of highway, tomorrow. I guess I ll have a new light to look for

Dusty1,

You should realize that the transmission temp AND the transfer case temp warning BOTH turn on the same light on the dash. Transfer case sensor wiring prongs can get gunked up and make false reading. Sensor is on lift side of TC. Got lube?

2.5 hrs on highway this morning and no light. I will make sure the sensor is not funked up, as soon as i can make time.

btw ambient temps nowhere near the 95 deg of drive yesterday. i will make the, few hour, trek home in this afternoon's heat.
