Oh I love a non SAI LR no doubt. However the SAI system itself is not bad. You just have to make sure your vacuum lines are good, and the pump is working and you normally won't have very many issues with it. I just prefer less clutter under my hood.

Yeah, everytime l look at one in person...it's the first thing looked for as the hood goes up...lol. I've bought 4 Dll's here, Michigan, and all have had SAI.

Not so much hatred for the system, more about workable space. Several things become easier without, such as spark plug wires, coil packs or even doing head gasket replacement. Tubes are prone to cracking and if you can't repair with JB Weld...replacement costs are steep. I guess, my thought always revolve around trail repairs and keeping things simplistic...more stuff in the way just infuriates me and my old attitude...lol. Plus, gives you easy access to firewall for washer reservior relocation (if adding an off road bumper) or adding extra battery.

@redwhitekat I am the same as opinion as @The Deputy the system itself gives me no problems, but the sheer amount of piping is a pain and gets in the way of everything.

You can flash a non-sai program in the ECU and remove hardware. Requires the testbook hardware or the new LR system, forget the name of it. My LR shop in Greenville has one.

When I am at a Land Rover event, the Brits want to see my V8 engine. They see all the extra SAI plumbing around it and they immediately ask "What the bloody hell is all that lot?". lol

interesting. But most likely not easy to get my hands on one of these.
The closest LR dealership to me doesn’t even know what a discovery is. Unless your talking about the new ones
