D2's are 5 on 120mm, or 4.72".

So mines a DII? Thats a one of a kind lug pattern! So no other brand of truck will fit a disco.

EK-Just so you know, DI's are from 1993-1999.5.
DII's are 1999.5-2004.
That being said, a DII is a DII and a DI is a DI.SO, if it is for a DII it will fit a DII, for a DI it will fit a DI.
So if you find rims from a 2000 DII they will fit your 2004. Catch my drift? ANd no, the rims from your Ranger will not fit.
The closest rims you will find are for a BMW X5, they will fit with some modification. Other than that it must be LR.
Almost everything is LR specific. The bolt pattern for a LR is designed to be stronger than the bolt pattern of a Jeep for example. The lug nut on a Rover are HUGE, they weigh almost 1lb each. They are not wimpy little lugs like you will find on a domestic car or truck. Even the 1 ton Chevys and Fords have smaller lugs than a Discovery.
Before you get your panties in a bunch and go and buy stuff that you dont need you need to get your truck home and look it over, then take it out on the trail and see what it can do. Then read the owners manual again. ANd then read it one more time.
You wil find that these truck were build to be driven off road first and then on road second.
Land Rovers are purpose built, and their purpose is to be drivenoff road.

The lugs, both for steel wheels or the stock alloy wheels, are 1 1/16" as well.

If you go to a tire shop ask them to tighten the lugs by hand. If they use an air ratchet there's a good chance they will get over torqued and stretch the caps so your tire iron won't fit over them when you have a flat. If they give you a hard time about doing it by hand ask them if they will replace the lugs if they do stretch. At $20 PER lug, or $400 for all four wheels they are usually more accommodating. And the correct torque is 103 ft. lbs.
