If im correct i think it means at some point someone bought it brand new, then it had some type of catastrophic failure within a short period of time. Then the owner did'nt want it anymore thinking that if it had one problem it might have many more. Under law the manufacture is forced to buy it back. So it is labeled as being bought back under the lemon law to let the new owner know that it could be a "lemon" as in a bad one. More than likley it is perfectly fine if not better than any other rover due to the manufacture going over it thoroughly. Then it could be titled that way to make sure you know it is a lemon, just like it would be titled salvage if the insurer had written it off as a salvage due to it being in a wreck to let any future buyer know it was in a wreck. correct me if i am wrong

Actually, a Lemon means the manufacturer tried fixing the problem 3-4 times and the problems still exists. Since its an 03, its probably the engine with the bad oil pumps.

If you are about to purchase it, stay away. Or if you are the owner, direct your questions to Disco Mike and Spike.

Yes...wrong.

Lemon law varies from state to state, buy typically can be exercised when you purchase a vehicle new that has a problem which prevents you from using the vehicle, and that the vehicle has been returned to the dealer to have it repaired unsuccessfully a number of times (usually 3 or more).

Find out what was wrong if you must, but you probably want to run away screaming.

I really hope you have not bought that rover yet. If you have and the seller did not tell you about that, there is a serious problem with that.

If its for sale, is it at a dealer? Or was it at a dealer?

Wow, the dealer is mandated by law to inform the seller if the vehicle is a Lemon. I assume this might be a smaller dealer perhaps. You could find yourself with a winnable case. Contact your attorney. Did you do a carfax before purchase?

One thing that dealers count on you not knowing is that, by law, you have a 72-hour cooling off period to take any major purchase back to where you got it and return it for no reason. If you have bought it, I hope it hasnt been 72 hours. If may be problem free now, but the dealer not telling you is very strange and illegal to say the least.
