I really want to find one of these and swap out my interior with it. Does anyone know if this was a special package or edition and what model year(s)?

I don't know what it is, but wow does it look great!

 

2001 LE with the Cloth/King Ranch style leather seats, leather steering wheel, ebrake handle HNL boot, both shifter *****, Typhoon rims (like Kalahari), and a grill with a grey/silver insert.

When new LR couldn't give em away, I loved em personally and tried to buy 2, but they got away. LR Austin had 3 and they sold for very little after they never sold. Those seats were pretty darn durable. One I tried to get was extremely rare kinda custom ordered. White LE7!!! It was amazing but sold before it was even thru the shops PDI.

 

yep, know on here as the Indiana Jones edition. Occasionally see them parted. You will be in line behind me to buy the next set that is available assuming the bank balance is in ok shape. Would love to put that set in my BB interior.

Not sure how many LE's were actually made. I know LR Austin had 4-5 on their lot when they were new, and they also had 4-5 04 Westminster D2's. Not sure if they requested the special editions, but the LE's when new were so so different vs the usual LR interior that no one liked them. The 4-5 LR Austin had just sat and sat for nearly 3 months without anyone looking at them. The dealership even used them for the LR Event's an still no one bought them. I remember seeing one with a 21k sticker price as it was marked down a ton. They finally sold & then of coarse everyone was like oh those were cool lol. Funny how stuff changes!
