The only place that I know of to get them for cheap is www.apexperformance.net, call around to autoparts stores and see if they can get them for you if you cant order online.

I also get 20mpg with my DI, on long trips, ~15 as a daily driver.

You could remove both the front and back windows, wear an aerodynamic helmet, and tuck when you drive.

Just like Ace Ventura!!

Just had the thought that you may have a stuck brake caliper.

The EPA rated the Classic Disco I's at 14 mpg city and 16 mpg hwy.
I have BFG AT 245/75/16 tyres and will never see 20 mpg hwy with those tyres.
A stock Disco I with street tyres careful driving in good shape can see 20 mpg
BUT this will not be a everyday thing it will be the BEST tank for the most part.

I would think the Disco 2 had a EPA rating less than the Classic Disco I with more hp's 6 of them and more Tq 17 ft lb more.

Now if your Disco has always gotten good fuel mileage (for a Land Rover) then it went to S_ _ _ I would start working on it.

You never said what kind of mileage you get.

You have a for the lack of better way of putting it ,,a screen over the pickup on the fuel pump that filters the fuel.
This is what takes the place of a fuel filter on Disco2's and is only changed with the fuel pump ,,, when it goes out.

Tire size makes a difference too, as you stated.
I hate to brag (no I dont) but with stock size rubber, the cruise set at 65 MPH, windows up A/C on, me, pregnant wife, 7 yr old daughter, 17 yr old son, cooler full of Pepsi and snacks we got 24 MPG on a 700 mile trip with my DI with over 170,000 miles on the odometer.
It can be done, it is all in how you drive, what oil you use, gas, well tuned, tire PSI, it can be done.
