The crudely circled piece. I'm having a helluva time trying to find it online.

Lol... the irony of your username and that comment is palpable.... The photo(and subforum) is Discovery 2. The part number is DPC000150PMA, which is the whole bumper assembly(the center piece is not separate, the body painted side pieces are.)

Plinth!? W.T.F? Who thought of that name? I demand answers!

Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. With the correct name, I found one on eBay for $100.

Crap...nevermind. Upon further inspection of the Disco, it seems the front bumper cover is this:

and the two gray pieces on each end are just endcaps for the ends of the bumper:

If so, the decision to switch to steel bumpers just became quite simple.

The parts break down above = D1. That will not work on a D2.

I have an idea- How about removing the center portion of the bumper cover, keeping the end caps, and welding/bolting a piece of steel on the factory steel bumper reinforcement, for aesthetic purposes?

Or sheet metal?

Anybody tried it?

It probably wouldn't have an OEM look, but if done correctly, could look fitting for a Disco.
