What to pay to learn a new ecu?
[sm=alcoholic.gif]I don't believe it, I must be drunk!I called LR dealer in Tulsa, and the tech quoted me little less than an hour = $88.00 to plug in with testbook and reinitialize (or whatever) a new ecu to my disco. Unfortunately I am 160 miles and under tow to get there. The local yocal supposedly with a T4 said he could do it for "$186.00 plus tax" (yeah, almost double). This is after he had to call his "source" to see if it in fact needed to be programmed and he thought I was wrong "who told you that".
This is supposed to be a LR "expert", but thats what you get in Wichita KS. This is the same tool that sold me a multifunction relay for more than I had one shippedsecond day air from British Atlantic! Who's the fool there?[sm=guilty.gif]
I may smoke my fair share of crack from time to time, but I really think this guy is off his rocker! Anyone hear of Hancock Automotive in Wichita? Sounds like a bad idea dealing with this one, please tell me otherwise...
