The D1 use a 5 on 6.5 bolt pattern because both axles are full floating axles. The D2 use 5 on 120mm (I believe). The D2 bolt pattern is smaller than a D1.

Yeah the D2 bolt pattern is the same as BMW, 5X120. The 5X6.5 on the D1 is a great pattern and has a ton of strnegth too, I just cannot walk into Discount tire and buy a new set of wheels.
I would still love to see where someone found some larger wheels for the D1, so if you know of some then post it up please.
