What Tire Pressure for Street Driving?
I picked-up some used M/T tires in 265/75/16E mounted to some used stock wheels, and stored the A/T 245/75/16E tires on original wheels in the garage. I am reviewing what I may want to run for tire pressure, so I would like to see what most of you use for street driving. The door jam specs list 28 psi Front & 46 psi Rear for the D2 for the stock 255/65/16 tires. My first thought is that is a big difference front to back, and not really sure I have ever seen any specs that far apart from front to rear. I am not sure if different size tires makes a difference or different tread type (street vs AT vs MT) regard to what pressure to run or having a 2-3" lift matters. So give me your thoughts, and what you run, and how it works for you and maybe your thought process behind your decision please.
I am trying to figure out what makes sense for me for daily driving and when towing a 4000 lb travel trailer. I feel pretty comfortable determining the aired down pressure and have some ideas as to what to run based on terrain and conditions. But your settings to run when aired down might be useful as well. Thanks for your help!
