1996 DI with 168000 miles, and I want to know what cables and spark plugs are you using and recomend

 

Jose, if you do a search, the consensus is that we prefer Magnecor wires with Bosch +4 plugs. Though, the plugs are a personal preference.

I prefer Iridium spark plugs but the Magnecor plug wires are the way to go.

 

Cheapest plugs you can get. I just put in new autolites, 50 cents each after rebate.
A lot of people report really crappy performance on platinums in the D1's.
Some people report no issues.
I use cheap ones and replace them once a year.
Running Magnecore wires.

 

How many did you buy and what do you think of E3 spark plugs?

 

Buy a full set of each. The wires are way more critical than the plugs. Skimp on the plugs if you must, don't skimp on the wires or you will be buying a set of magnecors after your budget wires burn out in 3 months. Buy the 8mm set here:

I bought 16, the rebate limit. Never looked at E3 plugs.
