Whats the current opinion on modifying the 2003/2004 oil separator with a PCV valve??
Thinking I read somewhere that a Disco 2 owner (Alex?) had removed the PITA oil separator that is prone to clogging and causing oil leaks,.....and replaced it with a traditional PCV valve/check valve.
Curious if anyone has tried this and had long term favorable results. Thinking that the crappy separator was used in an effort to maintain some level of crankcase pressure, yet moderate it.
Can anyone comment on this??

Mine PCV valve got clogged 2&1/2 years ago, (04- D2),, & put unwanted pressure causing crusefix seal to start leaking just a little bit,, after cleaning/PCV, leak pecans very very minimal,,, then few months later I read a tread where a forum member suggested to replace them with a Fram unit (FV237),, (I don't remember the name of member that suggested it, but one of best suggestions I read here for such a little cost),, so I did it,, that was 2 years ago, & it works perfect,, the piece has an actual valve in it & it will not clogg like original piece & cleaning it if necessary is a very simple,, it cost like $3-$4,,
