This is what drives me nuts...a couple guys posted earlier where the NGK Iridiums caused major issues....yet people say the same about Bosch. Again, thanks for the input, but I guess the answer is, there really is no answer! (Spike's email said it all I guess)

i tried +4 once on a 99' S10 i had years ago. they ran like crap and as soon as i went to the iridiums in that truck it ran like a champ. i gave that truck to my dad to replace his 88' 1 ton as his daily rig. now my brother has that little S10 and its still running those iridiums.

the old 308 runs iridiums and when i made that swap it ran better and smoother then it ever did. especially in the winter on those cold dry days that are irresistible to go for a drive in.

every bike i have owned (4) has run iridiums with the latest bike running the NGK iridiums that the ducati superbike team ran in the 999's.

and the rover has had NGK iridiums in it since i bought it 2 years ago and it has never hiccuped, stumbled, or missed a step. no matter how hot or cold it was.

i refuse to use anything other,,,

Now from the other side of the camp.

I run the Bosch Platinum +4 and have been for years. Never a problem. I tried the Iridiums and my truck ran like crap. Switched back to +4's and problem solved. Lots of guys have had good luck with the Iridiums...try them out and if they dont work, try the +4's. AutoZone actually let me return the Iridiums too, so nothing lost.

Default variables...

as it has been said many times in the previous threads... no matter how similar in design our Rovers may be they all have different conditions working for and against them. OEM Coil age or replacement mfr. style, injector performance, rotor / cap condition, regional altitude and wx conditions... whatever the variable, we are all gong to get slightly diferent results from this type of part.

Trial and error is a major part of the Rover experience so naturally the best part is the one that you find works best for you.

I'm thinking about switching over to the d.u.i (http://www.performancedistributors.c...er.htmignition )system on my '95 and then the search will be on for the plugs that work best with that system... with the increased voltage the Bosch +4's may work best but that is a river I'll ford later. Anyone using this yet?

I tried +4s and the truck ran fine but it seems to have more power up in the mountains with factory Champion plugs.
