I did 90 once. Generally I don't stray too far over 75MPH, these things aren't exactly champions of speed.

I take the Discovery I - 80 to 85 MPH on trips. No problems.

The piece of crap D2 - 65 MAX.
Probably a drive shaft problem.
I am not going to spend hours fixing it.

To me - the drive shaft problem on the D2 is a HUGE liability and oversight on the part of BMW / Land Rover.

I would just spend the $300 on a new drive shaft and call it a day, personally.

At 90MPH, my Disco is smooth as glass. Just saying.

Mine also. I got to about 87 on trip and didn't even notice I was going over 75. Smooth sailing...

I once got it to about 105MPH going down a long straight hill while passing someone. Smooth as glass. Typically 65-70MPH, and I take my time getting to that speed with the cost of fuel these days...

75 is the highest I've had mine yet, only 1k miles though.

I can't believe people are always driving in these at 70+, I feel like I have to give it so much throttle to keep it above 60 most of the time. Fuel economy falls off a cliff above 60 for me. Maybe I'm just cheap.

I have done over 110 a few times and its been smooth. I drive between 70 and 90 daily and get 11 to 12 mpg. For me under 65 I get terrible mpg. 80-85 I get the best.

22 mpg highway

Ha I call B~~~ S*** on that. You must have either someone towing or pushing you.
I have driven over 150 D II's and never seen that mileage consistently.
