What's up with my rover?

Gasoline octane and blown fuse are mutually exclusive.
You can't blow a fuse with different grades of gasoline.
You have some power wire hitting ground somewhere.
Make sure the wiring for the purge valve is not hitting a sharp edge.
Check ALL the wiring which snakes along the passenger's side of the engine - near
the in line thermostat.
Much of that wiring is just ty-wrapped onto metal.
Check all the sheaths on the wiring.
Buy more sheaths at NAPA and put on the wiring bundles to cover them.
Tywrap the sheath to the wiring to prevent them from coming off.
I don't think your purge valve and fuse blowing are the same thing.
Unless your purge valve is defective and has an internal short.

I had the same codes in my D2 and it turned out to be a bad CMP that was shorting. This was happening pretty instantly when starting the truck. Try leaving different parts unconnected to see if the fuse blows again. CMP, all 4 O2 heaters, evap purge valve, and MAF are all on that fuse. If it blows with everything disconnected you probably have a pinched or bare wire somewhere shorting out to the block or bay.
