What's this wire for? (Swapping out my shifter for a D1)
I started the process of installing my D1 shifter, to be able to engage the cdl from the cabin. It's been a tedious process, but I made good progress today, in that it's all hooked up, and seems to be shifting ok. I have a question though, which I haven't been able to find an answer to in Rave, or any of the excellent D1 and CDL swap writeups, so any help is greatly appreciated.
When removing the stock, non cdl capable shifter, there was a wire attached to it. I can't find reference to this wire anywhere. I'd like to know what it's for, and if it's ok to just keep the wire attached to the transfer case cut and taped up, before I put all the bits back together. It's the bottom right black wire in the attached picture.
Thanks in advance for the help, everyone.
cheers,
rich
