I just wanted to say
THANK YOU!!
The RPG screen always makes them look meaner. We never got any. I was always amazed at the fact that the Army got them, and we didnt when we went on their bases. That, and how nice they were.
This is what they gave us, since they were out of HMMV's and MRAP's. Looks like crap, was old, very top heavy, tiny turret, little armor, caught on fire a few times, AC didnt work, but man would it go anywhere. Lock those diffs, go to low, and off you went. Its al old RG31, what our current MRAP's were based off of. Came from Africa.

Thats right, stud driver. Thats me.

My dailer driver. I was lead vic driver on convoys, sometimes gunner. But mostly driver.

Pretty heavy, at over 40,000 pounds. But it too could lock all six wheels, and go to low. The tires arent the best for mud, but it rarely rained anyways. Mostly just drove on open desert so it was fine. Very intense though, you get stuck out there, you're in trouble. Lots of pressure being up front navigating sometimes.

I'm this guy...

You may or may not have seen the pic before, but it's been circulated through chain e-mails, youtube, demotivational posters, etc. for a couple of years now. One person had the brilliance to notice that my cold front featured some impressive scale, and dropped it onto a few funny websites.
I was a broadcast meteorologist up until about 2 months ago. TV News is feeling the economic pinch as well. I also serve in the Air National Guard, so I have been doing a lot of that lately. Big train up over the next few months, then I'll be heading to Afghanistan for a while. Last time I deployed overseas, I got to drive around in a Defender 110!
