Default Wheel bearings / hubs

So I got a bad bearing on a front wheel. Looking for parts I only found the entire hub assembly for sale so I picked up the britpart unit for $170. I saw cheaper ones but wanted something I could trust.

Has anybody changed out just the bearings?

The cheaper ones (like, maybe $85 on eBay) are just fine, as should be the one you got.
It's a simple operation to change the whole hub, Is there a reason you would want to change just the bearings?

Don't forget to purchase new hub nut to be torqued at 360 ft lbs.

and some of the 'new' axle nuts are oversized on the facets which can be an extra hassle if you need the socket.

Thanks @XRAD . I forgot about this. My new larger hub nuts required a 36mm socket vs. the 1 1/4" socket.
