Default Wheel drag...

Hi all.
Turning by hand the lifted front wheels, it is not that smooth. Where is the drag coming from ?
Is it the brake discs, is it the bearings, is it both or something else ?

Other vehicles non-driven wheels just spin freely turning them by hand with not much effort.

----> NOTE : I have no front shafts / CV joints installed ! in my 2000.

How does the drag from the left side to the right side compare?
Most likely it will be a failing cat if the bearing in the hub are OK.
What do you mean you have no front shafts??????????????????????????

What sort of noise does it make when you spin it? The brake pads are going to slow the wheel down because they constantly rub against the rotor (a side-effect of the design that helps keep your brakes dry in wet weather).

For bearing you should look at how much play there is when you shake the wheel, basically any play is bad...

Thanks.
Both sides drag the same and the noise is from the brake pads.
The bearing shows no play at all when rocking the wheel. Too tight something?

Correct, no front shafts : http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/s...P1000956-1.jpg
