" Never had a problem with a timkin bearing..." I'm with you there. I've always had good results with Timken bearings. BUT...

The Timken catalog cross references TAY100060 as HA590500. Only problem is no picture on the Timken site. And ralphobell is right, that part (HA590500) lists for $500-$700. What's the difference?? Maybe an email to Timken might get an answer > The Timken Company | Bearings & Power Transmission Manufacturer

I'll bet you the cheaper part is made by EAC, if so look it over good before install. Their machining can be hit-or-miss. http://www.eacparts.com/index.php

For $100 even if you only get 20,000 miles out of it, it would be worth it to me.

I was going to go into it just being inspected on the 1st, now you can just about pull the hub off with your hand 8 days later

SKF and Timken are usually top quality bearings. But I'm afraid like mosts things they ain't manufactured in the UK, US or even europe. My guess is most parts for LR's come from the far east and eastern europe but with some parts at least there is a molecum of quality control ..................... we hope

so i got my $110 hub the other day, it does not look bad. the weights were almost the same, so it's not hollow .

it also came with a new ABS sensor which i'm sure is probably a few dollars,
it a good thing the same of the old hub the sensor has to be scrap.

Installed fine, unlike the LR replacement it comes with the short ABS wire, I believe i read the LR replacement has to get wired all the way back to the controller.

Will see how long it last, for a $500 savings i'll give it a try.
