wheel hub Question

Default wheel hub Question

does the hub on a 99 disco ii need to be pressed on or can i gently whack it back onto the spline?

It's a unit bearing I think and it shouldn't need to be pressed on.

it is a unit just a liitle concerned ..im at that point about to go get a puller on sat night and dont wanna get stuck first one ..

Clean and lube the splines before reassembly. Use the axle nut to pull the axle into the hub/ bearing assy once you have the splines lined up.

For the unit bearing, pull that into the knuckle by using the mounting bolts, gradually tightening in a star pattern until fully seated.

okay so any input would be appreciated ......
replaced the left side hub still and its still making the noise.
it makes a noise that goes away when i turn right and some time at high sppeds. sounds like (wow wow wow wow) .... any ideas are appreciated
