With that mileage, I would suggest a filter also. Have you ever done this before?
When was the tranny last serviced?
Doing a drain and refill can take up to 6 quarts of Dextron, and yes, an additive like Lucas would probably help your tranny.

No I have not did this before but i am capable of doing it.I don,t know when it was last serviced only had three months and so far superb.
