Default How many miles is too many?

My father gave me a $35,000 budget to get a car for my college graduation. I have been in love with the Range Rover since I was 7 and my uncle bought one, it was one of my most memorable memories riding in it for the first time. I've found a few (5 in particular, one of which I will most likely get) that look pretty good. But they range in mileage from 37k to 76k between 2006 and 2007. I know maintenance is more important than mileage and my neighbor (a very good, professional mechanic) is coming with me to check them out but it's just nice to know.

Wow, what a dad. Mileage is one of those things that mean nothing to me. It all will depend on how much it was maintained. If it was done properly then the mileage does not matter as much as one with low mileage and no service. An example would be my work car. Bought new in June 2009 and now I have 73K on it a year and a half later. But it has oil changed religiously and service done at the proper intervals. Whoever buys it will get a great deal because the price will be low for the miles but the quality is top notch.

If I were you I would buy a reasonably priced one for about $25K and ask if he is willing to invest and bank the other $10K for you and just leave it alone. That is what I would do.

Jasoncrew03, I have 158k on my RR. I have seen some for sale with 204k. of course these are older then what your looking at but with proper maintenance you can go a long long time.
