Default Where to buy 180 T-Stat?

I have had my 2004 Discovery with 104,000 miles for a few months now and am looking at replacing the tstat and switching the coolant from the orange(dexcool?) coolant to a green(not dexcool) coolant. I read this is a big deal. Anyways where is the best place to pick up the 180 t-stat?

Rovers North had the real one but you can also get a reduced temp thermostat from Atlantic British for cheaper. People report that the Atlantic British one doesn't reduce the temps as much. I have the Atlantic British one but haven't fired the truck yet with it yet so I can't give you any numbers one way or another. I am, however, going to get the genuine one from Rovers North next time so I can compare them (if I don't switch to a SBC thermostat by then).

Make sure you get the Grey colored one that is OEM.

You can buy this one at RoversNorth and BPUtah. Atlantic British does not sell this one.

It should cost around $70-$80.

X2 on the OEM grey one. I bought a Motorad one and it had the gasket around the thermostat installed incorrectly within the housing so it was sticking out along half of its length, plus the engine ran at 200 to 205 with it. I switched to the OEM Grey one and now I'm running at 187 to 196.

That's it! Makes a huge difference. Your auxiliary cooling fans will be able to retire.

I'm having good luck with my Motorrad but they do seem a lot more hit or miss than the Land Rover ones. When I change mine next I will probably go with OEM. I would also recommend changing hoses and using good quality worm-gear hose clamps. Also don't forget to bleed the system after.

Is the Britpart one really that bad? It's the $47 one at AB. Says soft spring style for warm weather climates. I can always get the Rovers North one there is really that big a difference.
