I need new wipers on my 1999 D2. Every autoparts store I go to say that they dont carry the ones for the D2's. Where should I go and what should I get. Thanks alot.

I have been running these Sill blades for the last 4 years. They have held up much better then the factory blaes for both the high desert area and now here in Colorado.

Some people will also suggest you replace the whole wiper arm, installing D1 wiper arm assemblys and wipers, me I still like the Sill blades.

 

Don't get any from Advance if they happen to have them, their brand sucks. I bought a set and I'm quit displeased. I'd go with the Sill that DiscoMike recommends or perhaps a bosch.

 

Bosch doesn't make them.

I bought just the wiper blade inserts (thin). Then replaced them. My cost at the BMW store, $3.48.

 

Atlantic British has a full set of 3 for $36. I'm waiting for mine to arrive today.

 

Yeah you can get the THIN inserts and they work. I had some left over from my Acura's I've had and they worked. I just had to cut about 4" off the length. Not many places sell the thin inserts anymore though. Autozone near me doesn't carry them, they used to, Walmart used even have them. I think I got my last ones from O'Riley.

 

The inserts don't hold up long, pure silicone Sill Blades seem to want to last forever.

 

I just installed the $36 fora full set of 3 from Atlantic British and they fit perfectly. I have not used them yet, but it is the best deal for wipers that fit perfectly that I've seen.
