Default where do you get your parts?

As the title says, where do you get your parts? In the middle of a head job and want to know where you got lifters, push rods, gaskets, etc.

Being in TX, you can't go wrong with Trevor at RovahFarm in AR. Real good guy to deal with.

i get head gasket kits at lucky 8 or rovers north
lifters and pushrods and cans can sometimes be purchased as kit also at places like rimmer brothers. or if you split up that order ...you have a near unlimited number of sources for 215 buick lifters and pushrods can be had from the above mentioned places

I get most of my stuff from Erik (and Justin) too, I think he gets slightly better prices than me though.

Can someone educate me on the gasket kits. One company has a full kit for $160 and others have lesser kits for $60. Which do i really need for this job? I really dont remember taking off any orings and took several gaskets off.

kit at minimum should include-
head gaskets
head to block fasteners
intake upper gasket
intake manifold gasket seal (the little rubber guys that go under the gasket clamps, front and back)
valley pan/lower intake gaskets
exhaust manifold gaskets
rocker/valve cover gaskets

others
-hard coolant pipe o rings (recommended)
-the 2 intake gaskets that mount the front of intake to the rest of the upper (needed, if you separate.....if not, no need)
-throttle body to intake gasket (same as above...if you leave them together, you don't need it)
-injector o rings (usually not good quality in the kit....if you need some get some)
-throttle body heater plate gasket (Texas...so you don't even need a tbh, but if you are hooking it up, it is good to replace gasket because they have a known rate of failure.)
*the main reason to separate the parts of the upper intake is for cleaning, but if its not all gummed up you can clean it without doing so.

most of the kits have generic uses. you will get junk that you do not need.
14cux stuff... etc.

so looking at the kit below....you do not need the stuff that is displayed in the center of the valve cover gaskets (minus the injector seals, most of that junk is n/a for you). but you also need bolts/studs, upper inlet manifold gasket (picture at bottom of page) and it is a good idea to replace the hard coolant pipe o rings

below is the upper intake gasket that is also good to replace
