Default Where to find heated front windshield?

Got a stone chip in my D2 front windshield and it has now cracked. I have found unheated and wiper area only heated windshields. However my D2 has a fully heated screen across 100% of the windshield which I absolutely love on these 10*F mornings.

Any idea of where could find an NOS supply of these ?

Try RN, looks like they have the heated windscreen (cmb000300).

In many states, your insurance covers glass replacement as part of you your policy. Safelite had no trouble getting a heated windshield for me.

Over, thanks for the info. Unfortunately RN don't actually have them. Have to come from the UK and will take weeks to months. At least I have the part # now and can dig around.

Safelite here only had the partially heated screen. Are you saying you got a screen with 100% heating element coverage like the OEM screens? If so I'll need to go back to them.

Just for giggles I looked at Rockauto they have a listing
I WOULD NOT buy it BEFORE I spoke to someone at RA to get all INFO!!!

That being said I bought a windscreen for a Porsche last year from RA with the same description(VARIOUS MFR) and it turned out to be OEM Glass.
So I guess it would be worth a call to find out what the LR glass is. Good Luck!

I got one at the local glass shop in PDX, it was the non OEM brand but works just fine and is just as thick. Actually the tech said it was twice as thick as Prius glass. I think it was priced at $450 but insurance covered part of it for me as it was damaged by a rock.

x2 with Safelite

However in my personal experience I now remove the cowling and A pillar’s befoew they break em!! I know it’s their job, but I’m tired of crappy cover up work when they try n hide what they broke until it flies off going down the road..

The original equipment is Pilkington Opticool glass be it heated or not, if it were me I wouldn't settle for anything else except that which is an LR supply.

In my case it wasn't a matter of settling for aftermarket glass. State Farm, my insurance company would not pay the price for Pilkington which is quite a bit higher. They would have got it if I were willing to pay full price myself. The aftermarket one is fine and looks the same.

I've had them try to sneak in cheap door glass before that was even a different color of tint with waves in it, I refused that glass and they did put in Pilkington door glass and it did match properly.
