Question Where to find an XYZ switch??

I have seen them on Ebay for around $100 and Autozone has them for $291.00... I can't really afford the $291.00 so is it safe to just get one on Ebay, or is there a different place that sells them used or cheap??
Thanks

There is an article on AULRO that explains how to rebuild if you are really hurting.

Is it possible to By-pass this switch??
I took it off the Disco, and cleaned it out completely.. It did not have any corrosive parts that looked too bad so I just put it back on and now the truck wont even start.. It will indicate that it's in park and neutral but nothing else shows on the Shifter or the dash indicating it is in any gear..

I saw that page and used it as a guide.. But putting it back in is where I think the problem is.. not sure if it is lined up properly...
