R1's have not been tested by enough people to be even considered. Thanks for the input, though. Nice to know you are having luck with them. I thought about it, but went with brembo rotors and EBC pads. That way I know I am putting the decent stuff on and it will be a while before i have to break down the rear axle...
Excellent point, he did ask for the "best", not the "lowest priced". I am curious to know how many of us have installed these rotors and pads and what have been the results? Topic for another thread, possibly a poll?

Who determined you need a XYZ and why?
Your wheels are not causing your truck to shake, so I would re think that issue, what size wheel are you currently running?
What about needed services, how many miles on the truck?
I know I need the XYZ switch because my console keeps on flashing "M" and "S", causing me to get stuck in third/fourth gear and drive in "limp" mode. I've read previous threads and other forums and the problem is the XYZ switch getting wet, sometimes due to the A/C hose leaking onto it.

I'm running P255/55/R18 with the stock tires and want to upgrade to Pirelli Scorpion STR. What do you think about this choice?

I only have 43K miles on the truck and just recently got it serviced.

3- depends on your ability. I haven't done one, but this link might help...

How about a High Performance Brake Rebuild Kit or a EBC Performance Brake Rebuild Kit? That way I can just replace everything and start revamping a truck in need of some TLC
