Cool as long as the electrode is normal looking you should be fine. Their older design was truly awful. I dunno how many LR's I've worked on with misfire issues only to find Bosch plugs completely fouled in as little as 3k on em. NGK just has served me extremely well so I pretty much just use them unless they're out of stock then I use the Iridium XP's from Autolite which are always available in my neck of the woods.

I also put in Bosch platinum plugs a few couple weeks ago - I didn't realize that the previous owner had been running NGK Iridium plugs until I pulled them out to swap. The Bosch ones look like normal plugs - center electrode is not flush with the ceramic insulator.

I've probably only driven 100 miles since then but no issues so far.

Thought I'd update this just because

This job is now finished - including a coolant flush and switch to Prestone.
Used 7 gallons of distilled to flush - about 1 gallon at a time for how I did it.
Probably put 100 miles or so on it after the work this weekend and so far NOTHING is leaking.
Like, nothing, no oil, no water, no nothing. Just jinxed myself I know, but still...

Also...forget if I mentioned it above, but ended up getting replacement injectors - rebuilt and tested.
THESE ON EBAY
The ones I took out were green and these brown ones don't have the slit in them for the retainer.
Everything seems to run great so not complaining, just curious what the difference is, if any.

Also cleaned the throttle body while the intake was out and use Sea Foam top end cleaner in the intake post job completion.
The tunnels of the plenum had obvious oil build up.
