Default Leak

I bought a 1995 Discovery a few weeks ago. The MOT was done last month (before I bought it) and came back with no advisory. However, I have noticed a leak around the front left axle area. I'm not sure if the leak is from within the axle or dripping from somewhere above it. Please look at the attached picture. Can anyone of you guide me on what I must do? This is my Disco and I'm not a very DYI friendly person. So advice on probable causes and what I do about it would be greatly appreciated. I know I can take it to the garage to be looked at, but I don't want them to pull wool over my eyes and take advantage of my ignorance so I thought I'd run this past you guys first and get a sense of how serious (or not) this problem is. Thanks in advance!

Imagine a non-leaking Land Rover. Looks like leak from above, unless the axle vent banjo bolt and line are in that area.

Thanks Savannah. So it's quite normal for Disco's to leak? I tried to see if the leak came from above but that specific spot has nothing immediately on top of it except some pipes all of which looked like they had some amount of oil on them (not fresh). That's why I'm confounded. Maybe it may be best to put it on a jack and see from below. Thanks for the help anyway. But if you or anyone else have faced some similar problem, it would be great to try and isolate probable causes.
