Yes Lucas additive has the stop leak in it. You may still have two different problems here though. Ifyou're covered by warranty I would just get it in have it checked out before you do anything. Dr. Mike?.....
Ok. I called the dealer and they recommended that I not put any additives in. I also asked about filling the steering fluid to get it to the appropriate range before I drive up there. Onwers manualy states to use Texaco Cold Climate PAS fluid 14315. If I have trouble finding it, can I use the Valvoline synthetic fluid that I see mentioned on some of threads? Also if I do decide to use the Lucas additive, would that damage the system. Or should I add the bottle after the leak is found and fixed as a preventive measure. Right now the fluid mark is about 1/4 inch below the min line on the reservoir.
Please advise.
Please advise.
You can top it off with any fluid for now. Valvoline syn. is a good fluid if your replacing it. Lucas add. can be added at any time, you may want to add some when they are done working on it.
