Default Why Magnecor?

I know everyone here recommends Magnecor wires, but I was wondering why? How do they compare to Bosch? Just wondering what makes them the best choice for Rovers...I'm getting ready to switch mine out. Also, how can you tell if you have secondary air? I have controls in the middle row of seats for air conditioning in the back. Is that secondary air?

Thanks!
Jamie

Many people report short plug wire life from other manufacturers on these engine. For a good primer:

Secondary air has nothing to do with your a/c, it is an emission control system.
Why Magnacor 8mm wires?? They handle quite a bit more voltage then factory wires, 37,000 volts compared to Magnacor's 55,000 volts. Better voltage, better spark hence better performance. They cost less the factory wires, apx. $200, costing around $110. They are more heat resistant, last longer and have a lifetime warranty. Nothing against Beldon or Bosch, but they continue to cause misfire code and believe me, you don't want to have to keep replacing these wires, it is a pain in the A--.

All I as a retired service manager can tell you is, use Magnacors or fight all the fault codes related to misfires and poor performance.

andtop them off with a hot plug like the +4s or the +4 fusions and you can be rest assured you are burning every bit of fuel going in to your cylinders.

I replaced the wires with OEM Bosch when I got the truck, not knowing better. They lasted just under a year. I got new one's under warranty, and I just put Magnacors on because the second set was done again, just under a year. I have a new set of Bosch's just in case, but with the difference, I can't see needing them at all. The Magnacor's have a lifetime warranty as well.....
