Some Discovery 2's have a locking diff. Some do not.
Some have it but there is no way to lock it so you
need to crawl under and rotate a shaft to lock it.
Thanks jhmover and jfall. I'll give that a go tomorrow after work. The only reason I need to move the Disco off the driveway as I have my Toy Hauler in the street and don't want it towed away. My driveway and street are on a slope so no option to just push it there.

Thanks again!

If I remember right it's on the passenger side of the car, you can reach under and feel it. (I'd do it when cold) If you ave one without the inside shifter (99-00-01). Again, if I remember right, you need a 10mm box wrench and you put it on the center nipple and shift it.

Thanks jhmover. That worked. I was able to lock the diff by rotating that nipple with an "open" end 10mm wrench. Not much room to move it but it got it just enough to lock it. I was able to probably turn it "clockwise" about 1/4 turn.

I got my Disco in the street now. Need to get the Toy Hauler back in the driveway until I can get the proper u-joint.

I got one neapco and the autozone brand. They didn't have two (neapco) PDQ's. I returned the autozone one as the needle bearings were very thin and a little shorter than my original joint bearings. Autozone guy insisted they were made in the USA, I let him win as you can definitely tell the quality difference on their chinese u-joints.

This movement at least buys me time to order them online.

Thanks again!
