Default Will the Disco2 front brush guard fit in the back of the truck?

I am getting an '01 Disco 2 that doesn't have the front brush guard. I have found someone who is selling one used on Craigslist, but I'd like to know if I can transport it in the back with the rear seats folded. The person selling the guard thinks it will fit, while the person selling me the Disco says it won't fit. Anyone ever tried this or know what the dimensions are to verify? Thanks in advance.

I prepped my truck at home and took it to the in-laws shop and painted it. I transported my brush guard along with lots of other things in the back just fine! What, did LR tell you something different? Like come by the stealership and will throw one on for you only bring your first born as a deposit...

I put the OEM bumper in mine with the end caps it went from the
rear door to the back of the frt seat and I had to move the seat up
to get it to fit.
If this is a big bumper like my ARB or something like I would say
no it would not fit.
Moving it would be easy if you get a small trailer from U-hanl,
and if its not far and you don't have lights I would just move it in
the day.
I pulled my trailer back from New Mexico to Dallas Tx with out
the lights 650 miles (day) I left the parts at home.

I am getting a stock brush guard, and the person selling the Disco is my sister's boyfriend, not a dealer. I'd also like to get some side steps and I'm having a hard time tracking down genuine LR parts that aren't in the UK. Will LR dealerships install non-genuine LR parts? I called and left a msg at my local dealer but have not heard back yet.

Side steps and brush guards baffle me. They take a moderately capable off road vehicle and make it LOOK more adventuresome while making it LESS capable off road. For the record the brush guard is 99% cosmetic. If you hit a twig with that thing it will smack against your rig pretty easily.

I hauled a factory wrap around brush guard in the back of my 2000 Disco II. I think I just put the seat backs down rather then fold the seats bottoms up.

Just out of curiosity, will this truck be going off the road much, if so I would rethink the side steps which are always being torn off and even the brush guard, takes quite a beating.

You might want some rock sliders under your doors rather then steps.

X2 on that. Side steps just get your slacks dirty.
