Will early 90's Rover heads fir a DII 4.0L
I found a set of early 90 Range Rover 4.0L heads that are rebuilt for $250. They are 10 bolt. Will they fit my 2000 4.0L? They are a HRC2497 casting.
I may buy them just to have them for when I have to do head gaskets.
They have had valve seat, guide work, surfaced and checked for leaks.

I'd be suspicious that valve guides were done for that price... plus you don't know if these have been machined once, or three times, without inspection. There are limits to how much can be removed.
4.0 heads should fit any 4.0 or 4.6, assuming that both the new and old have (or do not have) secondary air. I the new heads have SAI and you don't need it, you can just plug the holes.
The 3.9 heads before a certain year, and probably all of the 3.5 heads will probably change your compression ratio because they were designed for the metal head gaskets instead of the newer composite.
