Default Will I regret going to street tires?

Currently running 265/75/16 Federal Couragia MTs they are wearings and are loud.

I don't off road as often as I use to, if at all anymore really.

My buddy can get deals on mastercraft tires. I was deciding between the courser AXT and the courser HSR tours.

My fear going with the AXT is the noise and quick wearing.

My fear going with the HSR is if I ever do decide to go offroading it will have to be a dry day. Also the not so aggressive look.

ehh, it all depends on what your wants and your needs.

I don't offroad anymore, so I went with street tires. I actually have a set of General Grabber AT2's on 16's in my basement and because I don't offroad anymore, running L322a 19's with 255/50/19 Continental 4x4 Contact tires. Yea, I don't look like I'm going on a safari anymore but my needs and wants aligned in this case, so it doesn't bother me.

If Im reading into your message correctly, you want the offroad look, but not the offroad noise and wear? then my friend, you gotta pay to play.

BF Goodrich AT
Go great on or off road
I've seen several sets go 75-80k miles
And, they are very quiet for an AT tire
Cooper AT are also very quiet and long lasting

If you haven't yet tried all-terrain tires offroad with your '04 you might be surprised how well they'll perform with traction control and a locked center diff. Even wet.

Another vote for BFG AT KO2. Great all around tire & even the rugged terrain is a nice tire that still looks aggressive.

Goodyear Duratrac is another good option.

The BFG A/TS are great tires, but having used both I think the Falkens AT3W is better. Definitely quieter and I've been extremely impressed by their performance and tread wear. I'm actually getting a set put on today.

I have gone with different tires on all my discos - the ones I like the best are the Firestone AT. They look great and are quite as a churchmouse.

my .02

I went with a winter tire set up for year around

Yokohama Iceguard IG51V

The tread pattern is rated for mud/snow/ice and the rubber compound is rated for low road noise and low wear. Zero issues from my side but, look at the ratings below from Tirerack

Wow guys getting a lot of good input here. I appreciate it! I will be researching on your recommendations!

I guess im trying to deny that I want the most practical comfortable tire that performs good in wet, icy and snowy conditions.
