Default Will an ignition lock for a Disco1 work for a Disco2?

My disco 2 ignition lock is destroyed. I need the complete assembly all the way to the end of the cables. Not just the cylinder. There is a huge price difference in the disco1 and the disco2. They look the same. Will they fit the same? If not, do I have any other options?

Thanks!

you can also get rid of the lock entirely and go with a push-button option, per this thread: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...n-start-94316/

The black plastic switch is different between a D1/D2 (part which plugs into the fuse box). The actual mechanical lock part is the same.

So swapping the electrical component(The actual ignition switch, not the lock tumbler/housing) to the new housing should make it good to go

I ordered one for a D1 from BPUtah, and will do the swap next week

Yep it should be PNP after you swap the black plastic switch out.
