A 50/50 mix isn't necessary unless you are in an extremely cold environment... Here in the SF Bay Area, we don't see anything below 30 degrees on the coldest nights of the year, mid 40's at the absolute coldest during the day, running 50/50 is overkill if you live in an area without extreme temps.

You will have better heat transfer, lower coolant temps with more water in the system like a 60/40 or a 70/30 mix. You do sacrifice water pump lube and corrosion protection but Water Wetter or Purple Ice will help with that. Just some useful information

I'm pretty sure the 1st number is antifreeze, so 70/30 would be 70% antifreeze.

Keep in mind that the higher concentrations also raise the boiling point of your coolant.

I said more water so 30/70 mix...
