I know very little about aftermarket steel bumpers and even less about the various models of winches. I've had the same Warn winch on my jeeps for 8 years.

I see certain bumpers like the TJM bumpers say they accept specific winches like the Superwinch X9. Honestly, I don't want to throw another $800 at a winch that may only see infrequent use. Is it possible I can find other, less expensive winches that will fit or are these bumpers that specific with winch fitment?

 

Have you thought about making or have someone make you a bumper, that way you can design the winch to your requirements and the winch tray to your old winch.
