window regulator?
New to forum / new to landrovers. Just bought a 2002 D2 with 75K miles 2 weeks ago . Had a coil go bad on day 2 which may have been caused by the dealer pressure washing the engine bay
Next I had a windshield wash jet break, followed by my front fog light switch. Welcome to landrover I guess? I did complete a 1000+ mile hunting trip to west Texas with no issues including the most comfortable off roading I've ever done so I'm still excited about my purchase.
Anyway, on to my question. My passenger front window has started making a very loud click on the way down during about the first half inch of travel. Then it proceeds to go on down just fine and comes back up just fine. If I stop it short of coming all the way up, I can grab the glass and it moves an inch or two pretty freely. From all the threads I've read here I'm pretty sure this is a regulator issue but I'd like just that last bit of confirmation before I proceed. I'd rather just order the part and take the door panel off once than to have to take it apart just for confirmation. Thanks.

Thanks Jim. After re-reading my post, I know it sounds like I'm whining. Think I'll just go ahead and dig in. Who knows, there could be some little plastic bit I can find at Ace Hardware that turns into a $2 fix.
on mine it was the plastic roller wheels that in the track of the regulator. I replaced them with rectangles that I milled out of a plastic cutting board, i found a write-up somewhere that detailed the measurements; they've worked great for months now.
