Window regulator or motor?
Hello, I had a drivers window fall down and not come back up on a 2003 Discovery. I took out the window and regulator to evaluate the problem. I reconnected the window motor to make sure it still worked...and all it did was make a clicking noise. I suspect that the motor must be an issue instead of the regulator.
I wanted to make sure that all I need is the motor and not a regulator. I did notice though that one of the plastic rollers is broken and I did see a metal roller mentioned when doing a forum search on this topic. But I'm not sure how it really gets installed...could anyone clarify for me on that?
Thanks.

Normally the nylon roller fails on the window regulator, sometimes the arms bend and pop the rivots. If the motor is clicking better get it all.

I finally got all the parts replaced I needed to get that window working again. As I was putting everything back on, I saw that there was an extra connector at the side mirror that I couldn't figure out where it goes. There were two connectors, one big one and one small one at the side mirror. I connected the big one. Now, I'm not sure about this small connector. I can't recall if it was connected or not... Does anyone know where this would go? I couldn't locate any loose connectors at the time.
Thanks!
Thanks!
