Question Window stopper...

Hi all.
Is there a window travel limiter ?
My driver side window regulator died at lowest position. No action. Just a faint click by the motor.
Noticed the glass was very low inside door. All in good, shiny, clean and lubricated condition. Removed from door and checked its 2 month new gearmotor alone. Works fine both directions.
Found the regulator stuck at its last tooth, freed when the gearmotor got removed. Reassembled and tested outside vehicle; works well but did not make it reach to the last tooth to risk binding again.
If the glass had not descended that much, it would not happen.
Is there a stopper that I should check somewhere ? At the bottom of the glass side rails there is an angled 'shelf' with a hole. No rubber bumper goes there ?
Reassembled everything; works fine; put an object inside the door bottom to prevent the glass to descend too much.
