Default Windshield or A Pillar Leak

I've always had a slight leak around the windshield but after this winter it has gotten bad. I always suspected the windshield but after doing some research looks like it is my A Pillars that are leaking. It's definitely not the sunroof because I don't have one! (S Model).

So, I think I'm going to try and seal up the A pillars, what is the best stuff to use? Should I just run by Home Depot and get some silicone or is there some special automotive sealant I should get?

The cut-rate glass guy that butchered my A-pillar covers and left me with a rear-view mirror that wouldn't stay attached to the windshield also left me with a nasty leak.

I called the top glass shop in town, and got a quote for $50 to re-install the windshield, re-seal everything and re-install the mirror correctly.

You *could* do it with silicone goop, but why, at these prices, particularly since it'll never look right if you DIY...

I'm pretty sure it's just the A Pillars and if I goop them up with silicone it won't really be that visible.
