50229 crower cam key way question
When installing a raw Crower 50229 cam, other than turning the snout down, shouldering, drilling, and tapping it, should the key way be oriented to match the stock cam's keyway?
Yes, the keyway will need to be clocked to match the stock cam. I don't recall what the clocking is, I've heard 120º but I'm not 100% sure on that figure.
Let us know what your findings are, as I'm interested in doing this one day and I'm not too keen on going through D&D because of their BS about wanting you sell you a heap of marked up parts that can be sourced for 1/2 of what they ask with every cam.

Thanks.
I hear ya on that D&D stuff.
I'll let you know. I've never driven this Disco (bought with a blown motor) so I really can't A / B it, but I have driven both my neighbor's 4.0 D2 and their '06 LR3. Neither were impressive but I'm really doing the cam for mpg's, torque is a bonus.
