I turned my wipers on today to the first setting with the 3 dashes. I heard the clicking noise that the wipers make, kinda like a switch sound, and the the wipers are supposed to move. They did not move until the third set of clicks. Once when I turned them on they didn't move until the third set of clicks, but they moved maybe 2 inches, and then the next click theymoved across the windscreen. Any ideas?

Probably a bad switch. What happens if you put the wipers on intermintent?

 

The next setting up it seems to run fine. It seems that just the very first intermitent setting is where this occurs.

 

So your slow , medium and high wiper speed runs OK?

 

Yes, they seem to run fine. The first setting just has an issue right when I switch it on. There is a lag of 10+ seconds, its weird.

 

The intermittent wipers are adjustable, try changing the speed at which it swipes the window.
